It is all about play!
Magpie-Eye is the business name for Jenny Ellen, North London based (international travelling!) cat loving, mum of one. I have worked as a photographer for almost 20 years in a range of different areas but most recently found myself drawn to children at play. I feel passionately about the importance of play and was disappointed to see the lack of alternatives to classic old school photos, so set about photographing children as their most authentic selves. It was no surprise that children (and many adults) are most relaxed when engaged in something they love and as a result I shoot almost exclusively documentary/candid style images. This leaves you and your kids free to simply get on with something you love, and trust that I will capture genuine, realistic memories of this place and time in your lives. No posing, cajoling or treat promising required ;) I have been fortunate enough to be featured in various magazines such as The Green Parenting magazine and Muddy Boots and have upcoming projects with The Royal Academy of Arts and Tate London.
