I am a huge play advocate and have photographed many non profit spaces unpaid. My rule of thumb is that if the images are to be used commercially (i.e. for someone else's profit) then I require a percentage or small fee. However if they are being used to promote a free event or session that supports community access to open play environments I am happy to discuss ways to collaborate outside of financial profit.
