MESSY Play Shoots 2024

Messy Play ian be defined as;

The open-ended exploration of materials and their properties. Activities like squishing clay, pouring sand, and sorting stones allow children to repeat and experiment as they like. Children are naturally curious, and messy play engages their senses at a developmental level that is appropriate for them.

These sessions will take place in Finsbury Park (exact location shared upon booking) and involve materials such as; shaving foam, paint, brushes, pots and pans, coloured spaghetti, flour, mud and anything else you wish to bring! Regarding clothing I am a big fan of a white onesie (AKA sleepsuit) as it shows up all the mess and colour but of course this is entirely up to you. Please don't put them in clothes you want to be worn again though - I can pretty much guarantee stains will get on them at some point!

I do ask that parents and carers step back as much as possible during the session, it can be tempting to try and encourage your child to get more messy, especially when you feel you are on a time limit, and REALLY want those photos but rest assured you will get some beautiful shots no matter the level of their involvement with materials on offer.

This said, you know your child best and if you have concerns about things being put in mouths or risky behaviour you are not comfortable with please do feel free to step in.
